Cast: Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, and Others

Director: Sai Rajesh

Producer: SKN

Music Director: Vijay Bulganin

Sai Rajesh who made spoof films so far has made an emotional entertainer titled Baby. The movie has Anand Deverakonda in the lead role. The promos of the film are quite interesting. Let us check out the review.

Story:

Anand and Vaishnavi fall in love in Class 10 and their love blossoms until Vaishnavi gets a seat in a top college. There Vaishnavi befriends a rich guy Viraj Ashwin who in turn falls for her. This creates a gap between Anand and Vaishnavi. They get involved in a big fight that changes their lives forever.

What is the fight about? How their lives will be changed? What happens in the end forms the crux of the story.

Performances:

Anand Deverakonda is maturing as an actor with every film. The heart-breaking emotions he performed during the pre-climax portions are just perfect. This is the career-best performance from him.

Vaishnavi Chaitanya gets a central character that any debut heroine dreams of. She delivers a very good performance that we hardly believe that it is her debut.

Viraj Ashwin gets the other important role and he is just fine. Other than these three, other characters are okay but haven’t got any full-length roles.

Technicalities:

Vijay Bulganin’s music is the major highlight of the movie. A few songs were composed well and the picturization of the songs and placement is too good to say. BGM is just exceptional. The production values are rich. The cinematography work is fine as well. The editing could have been a little better.

Director Sai Rajesh who has only made spoof films so far attempted a serious, emotional, heart-breaking entertainer. He is mostly successful. The story is quite relatable. However, the relatable concept of the genre is questionable as everyone can’t handle the emotional quotient towards the end of the movie.

Analysis:

Baby starts off well. The first half is too good. The interval block comes off as a bang. However, there is a consistency problem in the second half. Coming to the climax, it will be too emotional. Overall, Baby is a relatable heart-breaking entertainer.
