In a shocking move, YS Jagan has sacked the police boss Gautham Sawang and appointed Kasireddy VRN Reddy as his successor. The decision came two days ago and since then Gautham Sawang has been waiting for his new posting. It is interesting to see what post, the YS Jagan government will offer to the Ex-DGP.

Gautham Sawang still has 17 months of service left and the reasons for the Jagan govt’s sudden decision are not known yet. However, the rumors are that YS Jagan is unhappy with the way the Vijayawada protests issue is handled by the DGP.

Keeping this aside, the inside sources reveal that Jagan has the intention to appoint Gautham Sawang as the chairman of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). This post will have a tenure of six years but Gautham has to take voluntary retirement from IPS to take up this post.

Ever since Udaya Bhaskar the previous APPSC chairman has retired the post has been lying vacant and it is interesting to see whether Gautham will take up this.
