Enforcement Directorate (ED) is going to fasten up the investigation of the Tollywood drugs case. Recently, the Telangana Excise department has handed over huge evidence in the form of 800 pages file, 60 GB of video data, and 10 audio clips to the ED. A total of 12 cases were booked back then by the excise department in reference to the drugs case. They have investigated many Tollywood stars who they thought were related to the case. All the investigation is documented in the form of files, video, and audio data.
ED had their hands on this whole data. The 800 pages file contains FIRs, charge sheets, all the statements they collected from the accused, witnesses, and suspects over the cases filed on them. The 60 GB of data is in the form of a CD and a pen drive. All the video recordings are back then when the investigation happened in 2017. The audio evidence had all the call recordings on the accused and is a decoded one.
Special Investigation Team (SIT) back then in 2017 filed 11 charge sheets against drug peddlers and consumers. At that time, many Tollywood celebrities were summoned and questioned for hours. However, not a single case was registered as there is no solid evidence.
With the ED getting all the necessary proofs, the department might summon the celebrities once again for questioning. The officials are currently going through the proofs.
