As announced Telangana Congress MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy has tendered his resignation to the honorable speaker. A while ago, Komatireddy met Speaker Pocharam Srinivas and submitted his resignation as the MLA. The resignation was submitted in the speaker format.
The speaker’s office has confirmed that the resignation has been accepted. It is said that Speaker Pocharam Srinivas approved the resignation in just 10 minutes as it is in the speaker’s format. With the resignation approved, the by-elections are now inevitable.
After submitting his resignation, Komatireddy said that the results of the upcoming by-elections will be historic. “It will bring in change in Telangana politics,” he added. The Election Commission needs to conduct by-elections in Munugode within six months or lesser.
The BJP sources revealed that Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy will be joining the saffron party on August 21st.
