The Telangana government has decided to bring in 13 new mandals. The decision was taken to make administration more accessible and free. The state’s chief secretary Somesh Kumar has issued orders which come immediately into effect. The issue was done keeping in mind the demands of the public as well.

In the Narayanpet district, Gundumal and Kothapet mandals have been created. A new mandal named Dudyal was created in the Vikarabad district. Koukuntla is a new mandal in Mahabubnagar district. Aloor, Donkeshwar, and Saloora are from the Nizamabad district. In Mahabubabad district, Seroole mandal has been created. Gattupal from Nalgonda, Nizampet from Sangareddy, Dongli from Kamareddy, Endapally, and Bheemaram from Jagtial are carved out.

Telangana was formed in 2014 with ten districts. In 2016, the Telangana government has created 21 new districts taking the total to 31. After coming back into power, the Telangana government created another 2 districts making the total 33. With the creation of 13 new mandals, the total mandals in the state are now at 607.
