Chief Justice of India NV Ramana has been conferred with Honoris Causa (an honorary doctorate). The 38th and the 39th convocation of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) were conducted today August 20th. Justice NV Ramana is the chief guest for the convocation and he received the honorary doctorate from the state’s governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan. The governor attended the convocation in the capacity of the chancellor of the university.

ANU Vice-Chancellor Rajasekhar Patteti had foreseen the arrangements for the event. It is known that NV Ramana is due to retire as the Chief Justice on August 26th. Justice Ramana was a student of the first batch of law at ANU.

Mr. Rajasekhar P said that it was indeed a proud moment for the university to facilitate Justice Ramana who excelled at the highest position in Judiciary.

On the other hand, the Chief Justice of India will also inaugurate the newly constructed Vijayawada court complex today.
