The income tax department has given a huge shock to the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu as they issued show-cause notices to him asking why an amount of 118 crore should not be treated as “undisclosed income” which was allegedly received by him as kickbacks from some infrastructure companies.

The notices were issued by the Central Circle on August 4th after rejecting Mr. Naidu’s preliminary objections that the tax proceedings against him could not have been initiated by the Central Circle. The notices were issued under the section 153C. This IT act allows the revenue department to proceed against a party other than the person who has been searched.

However, Chandrababu Naidu did not respond to an email query on this matter.

The IT Department has confirmed that Manoj Vasudev Pardhashanay, who created the fake in-voices of the contracts illegally allotted to Shapoorji Palanji Company, was the key mastermind behind the fraudulent donations to CBN.

The finance department has recently found out about Chandrababu’s involvement and issued notices after seizing the documents showing how the money was manipulated and given during the search of Manoj Vasudev Pardhashanay’s house. Manoj has given a statement regarding this.
