Ex-Cricketer Ambati Rayudu who got recently retired from the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings is concentrating on politics now. He met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy twice in two months. Currently, he is touring the Guntur district. Ambati Rayudu is visiting government schools, Raithu Bharosa Kendras, etc., and He is preparing his groundwork. Though he is denying any political entry, it is evident that YS Jagan is going to field him for the Guntur Parliament constituency.

Currently, Galla Jayadev is representing that constituency as MP. He won that seat back to back in 2014 and 2019. Vallabhaneni Balashowry and Modugula Venugopala Reddy are the candidates that were lost from YSRCP simultaneously.

It is said that Jagan wants a fresh but known face to contest from Guntur to beat Galla this time. Jagan is keen to conquer that MP seat. So, political analysts say that he wants Ambati Rayudu to do the job and asked him to tour the district to understand the in and outs.
