Former Indian Cricketer Ambati Rayudu, who has recently retired from the Indian Premier League has met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy yet again. He met the CM at the camp office-cum-residence in Tadepalli. This meeting obviously turned speculations that the ex-cricketer is going to enter politics. This is not the first time that Rayudu met YS Jagan. He last met YS Jagan in May.
Also, recently Rayudu praised the governance of YS Jagan. Taking all these actions into consideration, there is a huge buzz that the cricketer might be joining the ruling party ahead of the 2024 elections. Ambati Rayudu is considered a Hyderabadi, but his roots are in Guntur, AP.
Reportedly, YS Jagan congratulated Rayudu and his former team Chennai Super Kings for winning the IPL. Rayudu along with CSK owner N Srinivasan’s daughter Rupa Gurunath displays the IPL trophy and also presented the CM with a framed CSK Jersey signed by all the players.
Politically, It is being said that the YSRCP is thinking to field Ambati Rayudu as an MP from the Guntur constituency in the upcoming elections. Rayudu comes from the Kapu community and the ruling party believes his addition will be a huge plus for the party in the upcoming elections.
The official outcome of this meeting is not known yet.
