Senior IAS officer A. Santhi Kumari has been appointed the new Chief Secretary of Telangana. The decision was followed after the relocation of the preceding officer Somesh Kumar, to Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. A. Santhi Kumari belongs to the 1989 batch of IAS officers.
Santhi Kumari will be the first woman secretary of Telangana. Upon receiving the appointment order, Santhi Kumari reached Pragati Bhavan and met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. CM congratulated her on the appointment as the new CS to the state.
Santhi Kumari is a Post Graduate of Marine Biology and she has completed her MBA in the US.
