Mani Ratnam has contemplated for many years to direct his dream project PS, the story that was formed based on the historical fictional novel Ponniyan Selvan, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film is set up in the 10th century during the tough times of the Chola dynasty. It has a vast subject and will be made in two parts.
The first part PS – 1 release date has been announced today along with the prominent cast first looks. The movie will be released on September 30th, 2022 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
PS – 1 has an ensemble cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Prakashraj, R Parthiepan, and Vikram Prabhu in the lead roles. Oscar award winner AR Rahman is composing the music. Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions is producing the project. The second part will be released in 2023.
