Team India allrounder Hardik Pandya who has missed a couple of games already is going to miss the remainder of the tournament as well. The BCCI officially announced that Hardik Pandya couldn’t recover in time and a replacement for him has been announced. Right-arm pacer Prasidh Krishna has been named as his replacement.
Hardik Pandya is a vital cog in the Team India setup as he can bat and ball in any given situation. He is a genuine wicket-taker and a proper finisher. He sustained a ligament tear while stopping the ball in his own bowling. At first, it seemed like Hardik Pandya would only miss a couple of matches but now his recovery is taking time.
However, fortunately, Team India is not missing his services completely as Shami’s inclusion has done wonders. Mohammed Shami who replaced Pandya took 14 wickets in just three matches. We have to wait and see if India could miss the services of Pandya at the fag end of the tournament.
