Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to convert his country’s army into a ‘Great Wall of Steel’.
According to the Chinese President, China wants to make the army very strong for its interests related to its sovereignty and development in the world.
This statement of President Xi Jinping given by China after the recent agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran is being considered very important. This agreement is being considered as a major diplomatic reversal by China.
Last week, the National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party approved Xi’s third term. After this, Jinping has made a public statement for the first time.
Expressing his intention to strengthen the Chinese military, Xi appealed to the people to support his government.
Sixty-nine-year-old Jinping said in the Chinese Parliament, “I am taking charge of such a high presidential office for the third time. People’s faith is the biggest inspiration for me. This is what encourages me to move forward. But this also puts a big responsibility on my shoulders.”
Jinping expressed his commitment to faithfully fulfil the duties mentioned in the constitution. He said that the trust reposed in him by the people of China will never be wavered.
Jinping said, “Security is the basis of development, stability will prevail only then prosperity will come.” Appealing to take forward the work of modernization of the Chinese Army, he said that we have to make it a ‘Great Wall of Steel’.
It will be such an army which will protect the interests related to sovereignty, security and development of its country with full promptness.
