It is very well known that Sri Lanka is hit by the worst economic crisis. Amid this crisis Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa who left his house the other day has now flown out of the country. Thousands of people broke through the protection barricades and entered Rajapaksa’s official building compound. He left the house moments before this act.
According to the latest update, Rajapaksa along with his wife boarded a military jet at night and landed in the Maldives today early morning. The sources revealed that there are other four family members and three staff persons along with Rajapaksa and his wife.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, on the other side, amid the economic crisis has resigned to his post along with his 26 ministers. Sri Lankan Parliament will elect Rajapaksa’s successor on July 20th.
