Indian origin diplomat Puneet Talwar has been nominated as the US ambassador to Morroco by US President Joe Biden. This is the second nomination in a week, of such sorts as Biden announced his intent to nominate Indian-American political activist Shefali Razdan Duggal as ambassador to the Netherlands.

Duggal, aged 50, is from Kashmir and has been raised in Cincinnati, Chicago, New York, and Boston. Senate is yet to confirm her nomination.

Puneet Talwar is currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the State Department. In the past, he has held senior national security and foreign policy positions in the State Department, the White House, and the Senate.

Talwar is a BS degree holder in Engineering from Cornell University. He did his MA in International Affairs from Columbia University.
