Bharatiya Janata Party pinned high hopes on the Telangana Elections. They predicted that BJP is going to have an effective election this time due to many reasons. The BJP thought that it could encash the anti-incumbency. However, the reality is quite different. BJP was confined to just 8 seats. Though it could increase the seats when compared to the previous election, party seniors like Bandi Sanjay, Etela Rajendar, Raghunandan Rao, Dharmapuri Arvind, etc., have lost their seats.
Keeping this aside, the BJP wants to move forward. The party is now concentrating on the Lok Sabha elections which is close to three months from now. With the center having a BJP wave, the party is hoping that it translates to Telangana as well.
As per close sources, the BJP high command is thinking of giving the Warangal MP ticket to Manda Krishna Maadiga. By this move, the BJP might attract the SC and ST voters. BJP thinks that the SC classification which has been pending for decades could only be possible with them. Will this move to field Manda Krishna work out for the saffron party?
