As many as five films will be released for the Sankranthi festival. Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Teja Sajja’s HanuMan, Ravi Teja’s Eagle, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga are scheduled for releases for the Sankranthi festival. The theatrical deals of almost all the films were done and the censor certificates were completed for three movies – HanuMan, Saindhav, and Eagle.
All three films have got a U/A certificate. According to the latest update, except for one, all the Sankranthi releases have sealed the OTT deals. The biggie Guntur Kaaram was bagged by Netflix and Amazon Prime sealed the deal for Saindhav. Superhero flick HanuMan has been bought by Zee5 and Naa Saami Ranga was pocketed by Disney + Hotstar.
The only film remaining now is Ravi Teja’s Eagle and it is said that a couple of OTT platforms are interested in buying the film but the theatrical release date is their problem. We have to wait for a few more days for more clarity.
