The 5-states election results are coming up. These elections are being termed as semifinals before the general elections that are going to happen in a couple of years.
Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) is heading towards a thumping win in Uttar Pradesh. Aam Aadmi Party has taken a huge lead in Punjab. There is good news for BJP as they take lead in Goa and Uttarakhand.
Here are the key takeaways of the results of the 5-state election.
* The current BJP lead is around 270 of the total 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. While SP+ has taken lead in 122 seats. BSP is limited to 4 and Congress who have pinned high hopes has huge disappointment with a lead in 4 seats.
* BJP is leading in 19 seats in Goa when compared to 10 for Congress alliance. Goa has a total of 40 seats.
* AAP has been leading the Punjab elections with a lead in 88 seats for a total of 117. Congress is limited to 16 seats.
* Congress is trailing in both Uttarakhand and Manipur as well. In these two states, BJP is heading towards a handsome victory. BJP is leading in 44 seats in Uttarakhand which has 70 seats. While in Manipur BJP leads with 29 seats.
