Finally, four films have been fighting at the box office for the Sankranthi festival. Ravi Teja’s Eagle has backed out of the competition after the Producer’s Council intervened. Eagle was promised a solo release date. Eagle will now be released on February 9th. Tillu Square which was scheduled for release on the same date will move out. Guntur Kaaram and Tillu Square are from the same production house.
With Eagle backing out, Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, Hanu Man, and Naa Saami Ranga have competed. Together these four films have been running a Rs. 300 Crores business which is massive.
Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram takes the lion’s share among these and it is running high with great buzz. It will get a record number of theaters in this competition. Saindhav is the next movie that will get a decent number of theaters as Suresh Productions is behind them. Naa Saami Ranga will get the third priority. Hanu Man, the smallest of the films despite having great buzz will get the last priority. But Hanu Man is aiming at a Pan India release.
