The other day Bollywood actor Poonam Pandey’s death news shocked everyone. It was circulated that the actress died of cervical cancer. It created a buzz and those who don’t know the term started to get awareness of it. Cut to 24 hours, Poonam Pandey has today made her appearance on social media. She claimed that she is alive. Pandey said that she faked her death to create awareness and create a discussion about cervical cancer which unlike other cancers could be curable if diagnosed at the right time.
She released a video clip stating that she is alive and healthy. She even joined Instagram Live to answer the questions of her fans. “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease,” she said.
Poonam Pandey added, “Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease. Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take.”
