The bazball approach of England to chase a mammoth target of 399 has backfired badly as England lost 5 wickets in the morning. England has headed to lunch with the score of 194 for the loss of six wickets wanting still 205 runs more to win the match. If possible, it will be the highest chase for them.

England started the morning with a positive approach. While Rehan Ahmed frustrated the hosts, Zak Crawley settled in. After the wickets of Rehan Ahmed, Ollie Pope, and Joe Root, the partnership between Crawley and Bairstow started to threaten the Indian bowlers.

However, the timely strikes of Crawley and Bairstow put India back on top. Ravichandran Ashwin is the pick of the bowlers with three wickets while Axar, Kuldeep, and Bumrah picked a wicket each. India shouldn’t be too relaxed as Ben Stokes is still in the crease and everyone knows what he could do with the tail. Ben Foakes is still waiting to bat though. So, it is going to be an exciting second session.
