Australian star opener David Warner has retired from the ODI Internationals. It is well known that the batsman is retiring from test cricket after the Sydney test which will be his farewell one. Today, he confirmed that he is going to retire from ODI cricket along with tests. However, David Warner stated that if he is needed for the Champions Trophy that will be played next year, he is ready to join.

David Warner is currently 37-year-old and he stated that this retirement will help him explore more franchise cricket. Warner is the sixth-highest run-getter in ODIs. He finishes with 6932 runs from 161 matches at an average of 45.30 and a strike rate of 97.25. He has 22 hundred in the formats and has been a part of the World Cup-winning team two times.

Warner, however, will be available for selection for the shortest form of cricket and is only one game away from registering 100 appearances.
