With the elections around the corner, many political leaders are leaving a political party and joining the opposite party. It’s a common thing before every election. However, this time, the trend is more for the ruling party. Sitting MLAs and MPs are leaving the YSR Congress and are joining Telugu Desam.

After the likes of Lavu Sri Krishna Devararayalu, Vasantha Krishna Prasad, and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, another prominent leader from YCP has left the party and is all set to join Telugu Desam. Cabinet Minister Gummanur Jayaram has decided to quit the ruling party and will today join Telugu Desam at the Jayaho BC meeting which will be held in Mangalagiri.

Jayaram today resigned from his ministry and left the party as well. He stated that the decision was taken to avoid the atrocities of YS Jagan. Speaking to the media Jayaram said that Jagan wanted to contest him from the Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency but he didn’t want to go there. He alleged that YS Jagan became a puppet in the hands of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Dhanunjaya Reddy.
