Vamshi Paidipally’s Maharshi faces copyright issues

Koratala Siva had to face criminal proceedings for the alleged copyright infringement case for his movie Srimanthudu. Writer Sarath Chandra has been fighting a legal battle for some years and now the Supreme Court passed the judgment that Koratala Siva had to face the case. Now, Sarath Chandra has dropped another bomb.

He said that even Mahesh’s other film Maharshi is similar to his other novel. Maharshi is written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Sarath Chandra stated that he will file a case against the director once the case of Srimanthudu gets resolved.

It is very well known that Sarath Chandra claims that Srimanthudu is a scene-to-scene copy of his novel ‘Chachentha Prema’ which was even published in Swathi weekly. It is quite interesting that two of Mahesh Babu’s movies are facing copyright infringement issues at the same time. We have to wait and see whether this fresh allegations are as serious as the previous ones.
