Indian Idol is a very popular singing program in Hindi. Now, the Telugu version started a few weeks back and is running successfully. To the unversed, Nithya Menen, Karthik, and SS Thaman are the judges of this show. Sreeram Chandra is hosting it. While the show is running successfully, the judges had a heated argument regarding one of the contestants’ performances.
A contestant named Maruthi performed ‘Evandoi Nani Garu’ from MCA along with singer Sravana Bhargavi. While Nithya Menen and Karthik liked the performance very much, Thaman termed it a below-average performance. The judges had some words exchanged between them.
While the other contestants are shocked, guests Hema Chandra and Sravana Bhargavi are confused. However, the viewers are terming it as another prank from the Indian Idol management. “SS Thaman has indeed liked it but it was a nice bluff,” a viewer commented.
