India created history with Chandrayaan 3 safely landed on the moon thus making the nation the first in the world to land on the Moon’s South Pole. It is well known that the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3, the Lunar Module was launched successfully on July 14th and it successfully landed on the Moon’s South Pole on August 23rd. India is now the fourth country after the erstwhile USSR, USA, and China to make a soft landing on the lunar surface.

At 6:03 PM, the lander touched the lunar surface and the celebrations touched sky-high across the nation. The Lander and the Rover with a mission life of one Lunar day (14 Earth days) have scientific payloads to carry out experiments on the lunar surface.

Chandrayaan-3’s triumph mirrors the aspirations and capabilities of 140 crore Indians. To new horizons and beyond! Proud moment for,” tweeted Narendra Modi. He continued, “Feeling the fervor all the way from Johannesburg for Chandrayaan-3! The enthusiasm of our diaspora in South Africa for India’s achievements in the space sector is truly gladdening.”
