The Union Health Ministry sources have today revealed that two persons have died due to the H3N2 Influenza. Apparently, these are the first deaths reported in the country. The two deaths come 1 from Haryana and the other from Karnataka. As per the current data, so far 90 persons have been infected by the H3N2 influenza and in addition to that, eight cases of H1N1 influenza have also been reported in the country.

The causes of the flu have been on the rise for the past few months in the country. Also, known as the Hong Kong flu, this H3N2 virus is causing more infections. This virus causes more hospitalizations than other influenza subtypes in the country.

Only H3N2 and H1N1 viruses have been reported in the country and both the flu have common symptoms of COVID. After the pandemic, the rising flu cases are creating panic among the citizens.
