Delhi Police has sent a notice to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his statement related to sexual harassment of women during Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Taking suo moto cognizance of the social media post, the police sent questions to Rahul Gandhi and sought information about “girls who came to him with complaints of sexual harassment”. According to the police, Rahul Gandhi made the statement during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar, in which he said, “I have heard that girls are still being raped.”

On Thursday morning, Rahul Gandhi once again tried to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of his relationship with industrialist Gautam Adani.

He said, “What is the relationship between Adani and the Prime Minister. The defence contracts which are being given to Adani, why are they being given. The meeting that took place in Australia with the Prime Minister and the Chairman of State Bank and Adani, why it was held, what was discussed in it. These are the questions to which the Prime Minister is not answering.”

On the issue of speaking in Parliament, he said, “This morning I went to Parliament and I told the speaker that I want to speak in Parliament. Four ministers of the government have accused me.”

“If I have made allegations in the House, then I have the right that I should get a chance to keep my point within the Parliament.”

However, he also indicated that he may not be allowed to speak in Parliament.

At the same time, BJP hit back and said that Rahul Gandhi did not express regret even once for his statement given in London.
