Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge while congratulating the people associated with the film took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling BJP at the Centre. He said, “BJP should not take credit for this.”

He said, “I congratulate Natu Natu and ‘The Elephant Whispers’. It is a matter of pride for us, we join you in congratulating.”

He further said, “But the ruling party should not take credit. it is the contribution of the country.”

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “We all should be proud of this.”

Actress and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan described people associated with the film as the most important ambassadors of the country, saying, “It doesn’t matter whether they are from North, East, South or West, they are Indians.”

He said that the market of cinema is in India, not in America.

RRR screenwriter V Vijayendra Prasad is a Rajya Sabha MP, the Chairman and the MPs also congratulated him.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and many MPs congratulated the popular song ‘ Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR’ on getting the Oscar.

The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the Telugu film ‘RRR‘ has won the award in the ‘Original Song’ category at the 95th Academy Awards. It is the first Oscar award for an Indian cinema in any category. The awards that were won earlier are by the Indians who reside outside India. So, this Natu Natu Oscar award is treated as a great achievement and a milestone for Indian cinema history.
