Those who hadn’t will have to listen to those beautiful memories. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao breathed for the betterment of the Telugu-speaking people. Telugu is in his blood.
He is an artist who can emote any emotion with perfection. His humbleness was beyond anyone’s expectation. There are many experiences to inspire about the legendary person, one such is from the producer Murari who has produced some super hit films like Gorintaku, Srinivasa Kalyanam, Janaki Ramudu, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, etc.,
Murari has written his autobiography “Navvipoduru Gaaka” and in that, there is an episode where he explained his first encounter with NTR. “I was producing Gorintaku and the shooting is happening in Vizag. Around the same time, NTR is collecting funds for the welfare of the Police, he reached Vizag. He came to know that a movie is happening in the direction of Dasari in Vizag and he sent an invitation through someone to the producer of Gorintaku, who happened to be Murari, to attend the meeting in Parade Grounds. I am a big fan of ANR. I was not interested to attend the meeting. I have to cancel the shooting on that day. So, I send the person with an invitation to Dasari Garu hoping that he will say no. However, Dasari said that he will be coming to attend the event along with his movie unit. What’s more irritating is that he even ordered a number of garlands. I reached Dasari and questioned about the same.
Savitri and Sobhan Babu were at the same place. Savitri said that NTR gives the utmost respect to the producer. That’s why he sent the first invitation to the producer. I am not convinced though and said that I will not respect him with garland no matter what. Sobhan Babu put a bet on this and said that you will respect him even without your consent. That will happen for sure. We placed bets that the next day I will treat the entire set with chicken and sweets. At the function, he first invited me on to the stage. My legs stuck on the ground. I couldn’t move to see his humbleness. I don’t know what was happening. I had taken a garland and respected him with that. He even hugged me and introduced me to the people on stage. I was moved. That is the greatness of NTR”
Producer K. Murari shared the above experience in his autobiography. We can hear hundreds of similar stories with many people sharing their experiences of the legendary artist and politician. NTR will be in the hearts of the Telugu people, forever and ever. Hail NTR.
