Mega Star Chiranjeevi‘s GodFather has failed the Monday test. For a film to become successful, passing the Monday test is mandatory and GodFather failed in that aspect. The movie has seen huge drops in a working day. GodFather had a decent 5-day weekend.
It is known that GodFather got released for Dussehra on October 5th. The film has raked in 47 Crores Worldwide in the extended weekend. GodFather still needs to collect another 50 percent to be considered successful but the fall means that it might not be fulfilled.
GodFather has seen almost 80 percent drops when considering Sunday collections which is huge. It is going to be a tough task for the film to sail to the breakeven shores.
The other releases for Dussehra, The Ghost, and Swati Mutyam turned out to be total washouts as well. Now, the focus shifts toward Diwali weekend for Tollywood.
