Prabhas’ latest outing Adipurush has received mixed responses right from day one. There has been so much criticism for how many sequences were handled in the movie. The makers said that Adipurush is not exactly Ramayana but is based on the mythology epic. This statement hasn’t gone well with the audience.
Nevertheless, Adipurush collections on the first weekend were impressive. Later, they got bogged down. Adipurush collected $3 Million overseas. This is such an impressive number with the talk the film got.
The producers went for their own release overseas and that’s the reason there will not be any breakeven mark. The ticket pricing was low from day one which turned into an advantage and disadvantage as well. There is huge competition from Hollywood flicks as well overseas. So the film’s 3 Million dollars club is a special one.
A total of 8 films in Telugu have entered this special club so far including Adipurush. Out of them four of the movies belonging to Prabhas (Adipurush, Saaho, Baahubali 1 and 2) are the films from Prabhas that find themselves in the 3 million club.
