Puneeth Rajkumar‘s wife Ashwini has received the honorary doctorate conferred by the University of Mysore posthumously for her husband’s work in the field of cinema and his philanthropic works. Ashwini was humbled to receive the award. She became emotional after receiving it. Prior to this, Puneeth’s father, also a legendary person Rajkumar has also received a doctorate from the University of Mysore.
The ceremony took place during the 102nd convocation of the institute. It may be recalled that Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last on October 29th, 2021. He died due to a heart attack in Bengaluru.
The Karnataka government has also announced to give Puneeth the Karnataka Rathna Award. Recently, the fans of Puneeth Rajkumar got the opportunity to witness his heroics for one last time with James. The film released on the birth anniversary of Puneeth has shattered records by grossing Rs. 100 Cr in just four days of its release.
