It has been an emotional moment for Puneeth Raj Kumar’s fans as his last movie got released today. James is a complete action entertainer and there has been humongous anticipation around the movie. Let us see how the movie is.

Story:
Santosh Kumar (Puneeth Rajkumar) is a manager in the security firm J-wings. Santosh comes to know about the crime syndicate which is being dictated by power brokers and top businessmen. He wants to take against them.

Is Santhosh successful in bringing down the top culprits in the economic world? How does he fight against a large crime syndicate which has deep roots in society? Will he be able to save the nation? What is the connection of James to Santosh Kumar?

Performances:
It is Puneeth Rajkumar‘s one-man show. Fans will be jubilant and emotional at the same time to see their favorite star’s heroics one last time. Puneeth has given it all in the movie. Be its action sequences, dances, emotional scenes, Puneeth has excelled in it. He looks stylish as well. Overall, Puneeth has carried James on his shoulders throughout.

Priya Anand fits perfectly opposite Puneeth. They share superb chemistry. She looks gorgeous as well. Srikanth and Sarath Kumar are good in their respective roles.

However, it is Shiva Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar who surprise the fans with their screen presence. It will be a feast to see the trio on screen.

Technicalities:
Technically, James is strong. Chethan Kumar has picked up an interesting story and weaved a gripping screenplay to it. Though the movie has ups and downs, Puneeth’s screen presence has covered it all.

Action blocks in the movie should be mentioned. There are some really good fight sequences. They are stylish as well. Ravi Verma, Ram-Lakshman, and Chetan D’Souza should be accoladed in this department. Charan Raj’s music is fine and it is his background music that uplifts the movie in many sequences. His music in the interval block is particularly superb.

Swamy J Gowda’s cinematography work is excellent. His lighting when he showcased the dark world is top-notch. The production values are rich. They have spent lavishly on the movie.

Analysis:
James is a perfect tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar. It will be a memorable film for Appu fans. He has done everything in the movie that a fan asks for. The film is well packed as well. Overall, James will give a long-lasting experience for film lovers.
