This weekend two senior heroes Super Star Rajinikanth and Mega Star Chiranjeevi are going to fight it out at the box office. Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar are getting released within a day gap. While Jailer will be released in different languages, Bholaa Shankar is confined to the Telugu States. Even if we take the Telugu States into consideration, then surprisingly Jailer is dominating.
The advance bookings of Jailer are quite impressive in the domestic market. Overseas as well, Rajinikanth’s Jailer Telugu version collections are too good when we consider the number of screens in which it is released.
Bholaa Shankar’s songs weren’t quite impressive and on the other hand, Tamannaah’s Nuvvu Kavalayya from Jailer is a chartbuster. The hype around Bholaa Shankar is quite lukewarm. The credibility of Meher Ramesh and the fact that Bholaa Shankar is a remake of a Tamil film that is 8 years old bogs down the expectations. However, it is the content that matters and we have to wait and see how this clash will end up.
