Suriya has returned to the box office after a gap of more than 2 years. His latest movie Etharkkum Thunindhavan which has been promoted as ET has only received negative reviews. That has affected the opening collections. The USA premiere collections are low as well. However, after a slow start, ET has picked up the pace.
It has collected Rs. 37.27 Cr at the box office for the three days which has been decent with the start the film has got.
Day 1: Rs. 15.21 Cr
Day 2: Rs. 9.36 Cr
Day 3: Rs. 12.70 Cr
Total: Rs, 37.27 Cr
However, for the Telugu version, the movie has been a complete washout. With the negative response, it turned out to be the lowest opener for Suriya in Telugu markets. From Day 2, Radhe Shyam has taken over and there is no breathing space for the movie. Pandiraj has directed ET. Priyanka Arul Mohan has played the female lead role.
