Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest movie Jailer has opened really well at the box office. Though it is a working day, Rajinikanth’s craze coupled with the good buzz around Jailer and the positive word of mouth resulted in the third-highest opening ever for the Tamil Cinema. On Day 1, Jailer opened to Rs. 88 Crores gross which is huge. Coming to the Telugu States, Jailer did superbly by collecting Rs. 6 Crores on Day one while it did a business of around Rs. 12 Crores.
So, Jailer already recovered 50 percent of the collections. In Tamilnadu, Jailer opened to Rs. 22 Crores gross which is his second best. 2.0 and Kabali are still on the top. Jailer beat the opening of Beast. With positive word of mouth, Jailer could easily mount Rs. 400 Crores gross and will be the much-needed comeback film for Rajinikanth.
