James Cameron‘s masterpiece Avatar is all set for re-release in a digitally remastered 4K High Dynamic Range format. Disney and 20th Century Fox have formally announced the news. Avatar will hit the screens again on September 23rd. However, it is a limited-time release.
Avatar was first released in the year 2009 and was a smashing hit. The science-fiction thriller has received unanimous appreciation from all quarters. Now, three months before the release of Avatar’s second installment Avatar: The Way of Water, the first part will be a re-release.
20th Century Studios released the new trailer of Avatar on its social media handles. The production house tweeted, “On September 23 #Avatar returns to the big screen for a limited time only. Watch the new trailer now.”
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana played the lead roles in the movie. Avatar is one of the top-grossing films of all time. It fetched USD 2.8 billion in revenues.
