Walmart has joined hands with Hero Cycles to sell their “Made in India” bicycles across their stores in the United States of America. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Indian Ambassador to the USA, confirmed this partnership. He made this announcement on the social media platform X.
Hero Ecotech Ltd., one of India’s leading manufacturers and exporters of bicycles, has designed a ‘cruiser-style’ bike for Walmart. It carries the Concorde brand in adult-sized men’s and women’s versions. The reports are that Walmart is moving away from its long-standing partner China and towards India.
Walmart is said to be committed to doing its business with India with the aim of an average business of $10 billion each year by 2027. This includes everything from toys, electronics, packaged foods, and bicycles.
