Over 25 passengers had a narrow escape after a BMTC bus has caught fire in Bengaluru. The incident happened near Nanda Talkies at South End Circle. The bus driver apparently saw the fire and immediately alerted the passengers. He along with the conductor tried to contain the fire until the fire extinguishers came to the scene.

With the alertness of the driver, almost 25 passengers who were traveling in the bus, fortunately, escaped a major accident. The bus was heading towards Kanakpura and belongs to depot 44, Anjanapura.

This is the second incident that has happened in around 10 days. On January 21st, a similar incident happened as a city caught fire near Makkala Koota Park near Chamrajpet. Now, the BMTC passengers are worried about their safety. BMTC officials reacted to these incidents and said that both the buses belong to a single manufacturer. “We have now decided to approach the manufacturer to inspect the safety of all the buses procured from the company,” he said.
