Making true the reports Virat Kohli has been rested(?) for the upcoming T20 series against West Indies. BCCI a while ago announced the 18-member squad and the big names who missed the squad are Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal. KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are named in the squad but their availability is subject to their fitness.
The likes of Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi, and Umran Malik have been ignored. Ravichandran Ashwin returns to the T20 setup once again. Here is the squad announced by BCCI.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
The five-match T20 series will start on July 29th in Trinidad and the last two T20s will be played in Lauderhill, Florida.
