India has wrapped up the T20 series but not before the West Indies scare. West Indies has come closer to victory this time and they did scare India before handing them victory. They have all the factors on their positive side in this match. They have won the toss and elected to chase. There is dew set up in the second innings. The target is not out of reach. Yet, West Indies failed to register a win.

Chasing a score of 187, West Indies hadn’t got a perfect start. At the end of the 10th over their score is just 73 for the loss of two wickets. However, that was the point where Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell has started to build a partnership. They took off in the middle overs and especially Rovmann hit it like a tracer bullet.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel came back strongly in the last 3 overs and set an example for the perfect death bowling. Bhuvi in particular has given away only four runs and took the wicket of Pooran in the 19th over. Earlier, while batting first, India has faltered again. Ishan Kishan hasn’t had the best outing this time either. Rohit too has gone early. But Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant’s half-centuries, and Venkatesh Iyer’s whirlwind innings meant India reached 186. Rishabh Pant was adjudged man of the match for his 52 in 28 balls.
