Royal Challengers Bangalore has taken revenge on Sunrisers Hyderabad for their humiliating loss a week back. Batting first RCB has posted an above-par score of 192. Rajat Patidar, Faf du Plessis, and Maxwell have contributed well to the team’s total. It is Dinesh Karthik who provided the finishing touch by scoring 30 runs in just 8 balls.
Chasing a competitive total, SRH has got to its worst start. Kane Williamson got runout on the first ball. Abhishek Sharma too fell in the first over. RCB bowlers kept pegging back with the wickets, especially Wanindu Hasaranga who took 5 wickets. If not for Rahul Tripathi’s half-century, the total would have been much lower. There is no support for him. Finally, SRH’s innings got wrapped up for 125.
A massive win gave RCB important Net run rate points. With this win, RCB has improved their chances of entering the playoffs while it is the reverse for SRH.
