Indian Women’s team legendary cricketer Mithali Raj has today announced that she is going to retire from all formats of the game. Mithali Raj has a celebrated career spanning over 23 years. Her retirement is on the cards as Mithali Raj has revealed the last concluded world cup was her last. Mithali made her debut in the year 1999 and it hasn’t taken much time for her to come through the ranks.

“I set out as a little girl on the journey to wear the India blues as representing your country is the highest honor. The Journey was full of highs and some lows. Each event taught me something unique and the last 23 years have been the most fulfilling, challenging & enjoyable years of my life,” she posted.

Mithali finishes her International Cricket journey as one of the greats. She is the highest run-getter in Women’s International Cricket. She scored 7805, 2364, and 699 runs in ODIs, T20Is, and Tests respectively.
