India has completed their home season on a high. They have white-washed Sri Lanka yet again. The second test between India and Sri Lanka has been completed within three days after India wrapped up the formalities in two sessions. India needs to take 9 wickets for the victory and they have done that in style.
However, Dimuth Karunaratne has found his way to the 8th test century. He batted with confidence. Though wickets fell from one end, he didn’t lose it. However, after completing his century, Bumrah’s beauty cleaned him up. Sri Lanka’s innings were wrapped for 208. No other batter except Karunaratne and Kushal Mendis resisted.
Ashwin is the pick of the bowlers by taking 4 wickets and Bumrah has added 3 wickets to his tally and 8 in the test.
Shreyas Iyer has been adjudged Man of the Match for his twin half-centuries. Rishabh Pant has been given the Man of the Series for his brilliant domination. This is Rohit Sharma’s first test series and he has wrapped it up with 2-0 whitewash.
