India managed a narrow win by just 2 runs against the spirited Sri Lanka which has shown a lot of grit and determination. Batting first, India made 162 and somehow restricted Sri Lanka to 160. Deepak Hooda was adjudged the player of the match.

Hits:

Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel’s partnership is definitely a game-changing moment. India was 94/5 in the 15th over and that partnership made sure India had a fighting total.

Shivam Mavi is another bright spot. He picked up four wickets in his debut match, a wicket each in his every over. Umran Malik is growing well with each match. He picked up two wickets as well.

Flops:

Sanju Samson failed to utilize the opportunity. He had a golden chance to prove his mettle but couldn’t. Also, he dropped an easy catch and missed a fielding chance as well.

The spinners couldn’t do much in the match. Both Chahal and Axar leaked runs in the match where SL spinners were quite effective.
