The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has announced that the upcoming series against Sri Lanka is rescheduled. Initially, the series starts with the two tests but now BCCI has decided to complete the T20 series first. The first T20 which will start on February 24th will be played in Lucknow, The second and third T20s will be hosted by Dharamshala.

The first test which according to the new schedule will start on March 4th will be played at Mohali and the second test which is a Day-Night match will be played at Bengaluru. The test series will be a part of the World Test Championship.

India has toured last year to Sri Lanka and played three T20Is and three ODIs. Rahul Dravid who is the current coach of Team India has traveled with the team as interim coach. India has won the ODI series and lost the T20 series with many players going to isolation after being contracted COVID.
