Super Star Mahesh Babu after a gap of two and half years is back on the silver screen. Sarkaru Vaari Paata has released amid huge hype. Mahesh is energetic in the promos and that could be refreshing. Let us check out the SVP review.
Story:
Mahi (Mahesh) is a loan recovery guy based in the US. Kalaavathi (Keerthy Suresh) is a spoiled brat and she somehow convinces Mahesh for 10K dollars citing her further studies. Mahesh doesn’t leave a single penny of his but Kalaavathi denies it and escapes to India.
Mahesh follows her and in Vizag, he comes to know that she is the daughter of MP Rajendranath (Samuthirakani) and he has a bigger problem to deal with.
What is the bigger problem? How Mahesh’s past is connected to MP Rajendranath? Well, we have to watch the movie.
Performances:
Undoubtedly, it is the best energetic performance of Mahesh. He, from the word go, has taken the film on his shoulders and carried it. His mannerisms, dialogue delivery, styling, flights, and dances are the main highlights to watch this film. It is purely Mahesh’s one-man show. Mahesh has excelled in every aspect.
Keerthy Suresh with a slight negative touch has a good role to play. She is cute and her chemistry with Mahesh worked out well. Samuthirakani as the main villain is alright. Subbaraju’s character could have been slightly better. Nadiya will be seen in a brief role.
The others are just fine.
Technicalities:
The cinematography by Madhi is rich. The visuals are outstanding. There is a vibrant feel all over. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh could have been better. The run time feels stretched, especially the portions in the second half. SS Thaman’s music is superb. Kalaavathi, Penny, and Ma Ma Mahesha were shot well and are good to hear as well. Surprisingly, Thaman’s BGM is not his best but not so worst as well. It is alright.
The fights need special mention as the introduction fight and the beach fight was shot very well. Coming to Parasuram, he has taken the safe route to deal with Mahesh. He put the entire story in the second half and things looked rushed at times. There is no conviction from Parasuram in the second half either.
More than the solution, Parasuram has created confusion among the audiences regarding the problem touched on in the movie. The pre-climax and climax give us a rushed feeling. However, he has Utilized Mahesh’s mania to the fullest which is the saving grace.
Analysis:
Sarkaru Vaari Paata starts off with a small backdrop episode and shifts to the US. Though the scenes are not new, they are good to see. The entire first half is entertaining to some extent. There are a few logics left behind as well. The story picks towards the interval block and is a good pause.
The second half is stretched. Samuthirakani’s role looks stronger in the beginning but gets diluted in the process. The EMIs problem shown in the movie has no conviction.
Overall, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is an average action drama that has Mahesh’s one-man show written all over it.
