YSRTP President YS Sharmila, sister of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, has been named witness by the CBI in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. The CBI listed YS Sharmila as the 259th witness to the CBI court. The statement was given by Sharmila to the CBI on October 7th last year in New Delhi.
In her statement, YS Sharmila states that she doesn’t have any concrete evidence but believes the murder has political reasons. YS Sharmila denied any family or financial matters as the cause behind the murder.
However, Sharmila pointed out that the issue of the MP seat could be a reason for the murder. In the statement to CBI, YS Sharmila stated that despite the harmony that is visible to the outside world, there is undercurrent cold war that is evident in the group involving YS Avinash Reddy, YS Bhaskar Reddy and the late YS Vivekananda Reddy. Sharmila has also stated that she is not interested in the Kadapa MP seat as she knows that the seat is reserved for Avinash Reddy.
