The presidential elections have taken place. The ballot boxes were shifted to the parliament house where they would be kept in the lockers. The counting of the votes will happen on July 21st and the new President of India will take oath on July 25th.

In Andhra Pradesh, out of the 175 MLAs, only two haven’t cast their votes. 173 MLAs have cast their votes. Chief Minister, YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy started the proceedings today morning. TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu despite his pledge not to enter the assembly came out in a rally followed by his followers.

Only Nandamuri Balakrishna and Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary did not visit the assembly and cast their votes. The reason behind this is not known. The entire assembly is in support of the NDA presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. It is known that YSRCP, TDP, and Jana Sena have extended their support for the election of Murmu.
